Chimney Sweeping

Chimney Sweeping

When you use your fireplace, it can produce a variety of unclean materials, from soot to creosote. Creosote is an oily and combustible tar, while soot is a sticky black carbon substance. When these two fireplace materials are used, they can result in a chimney fire. Anyone who uses their fireplace on a regular basis should get it inspected and cleaned at least once a year.

Before the burning season begins in the fall, a chimney should be inspected. It’s possible that birds or other animals have created a home in your chimney and need to be ejected. Inspect your chimney for any cracks or other damage that needs to be fixed.

Nest Removals

Nest Removals

A nest in your chimney can lead to blockages or even a chimney fire. Jackdaws are the most common birds because they are the only birds that can climb up and down the chimney.

They can leave several bin bags of nest in your chimney.

Depending on the size of the nest, Conquest chimney sweep can remove it from your chimney in 10 minutes to a few hours. If necessary, a CCTV inspection is performed afterwards to ensure that all parts of the nest have been removed. We take all precautions with mess control and work within the confines of the Law.

We are unable to remove active nests during March to July as it is illegal to destroy or remove a Living nest under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.

Feel free to contact us for advice.
